Running Different Brand cards in SLI

Hi Guys,

I have an r9 390 Powercolor branded Card and has ran well for the time I have had it, and I have the opportunity from a friend to get his MSI r9 390 for free... will these work together in sli?? the powercolor has a water block on it, and the intention is to do the same with the MSI if it'll work?

Can this be done and is there any potential problems I might face?

Not in SLi they won't, crossfire they will.
