I currently have a bfg OC 7600gt (the factory overclocked version), Do I need to buy anther exact same model or wil any 7600gt work fine? (this will open up my options, I already know the other option of buying a single more powerful card)

Any 7600gt will be fine as long as the 2 can run at the same speed. I don't think the bfg OC version is that steeply clocked, so I wouldn't worry about another card not being able to match the core and memory.

Nope they are fairly mildly clocked, in fact I could either oc the new card or underclock the existing one with one of the various tools out there. cheers.

Just put the slower card in the top slot as they operate at the speed of the upper card.
