Guys,

I currently have an Asus based P4 motherboard that is running 1 x 512mb PC2700 generic Ram which I'm looking to upgrade.

Now the board has 4 Ram slots so I'm thinking about a move to 1gb (Finally) using 2 x 512mb ram running dual channel.

There is someone in MM selling 512mb PC3200 ram so I was thinking of adding one stick to my existing ram & getting the 1gb that way but I need to know will I encounter any problems by running PC2700 & PC3200 together?

Would I bet better buying 2 sticks of 3200 & ditching my 2700 stick??

Thanks for any help.

Neil

it wouldnt be a problem but it run at the lower speed of the two rams. so if you got both PC2700 & PC3200 rams installed, it will run at PC2700 speed.
