Running Final Cut Studio on VMware.

My friend is going across the pond to study film-making. The school he is going to works with Final Cut. The "logical" solution would be to shell out the cash and get an iMac or a MacPro.

Now l was wondering if it is possible to run Final Cut Studio through VMware.
The idea is spending much less for the same horsepower and shell only round $1000 for Snow Leopard and Final Cut Studio.

You dont need a mac to run OSX.

Thanks for the reply. I am aware that you can run Snow Leopard on Windows through VMware. My question is will it run Final Cut Studio correctly? I don't want my mate to shell $1000 only to find out that it simply doesn't work on his PC.

My concern is Final Cut Studio not playing along with some graphics cards which are not supported in Snow Leopard. I did a small research in google about running Final Cut through VMware but with no success.
