running java apps without dock icons

Hi

I need a method or to setup machines so that I can run java apps without them appearing in the dock, is there a headless mode on java for the osx or a way to amend the system settings so that they never appear.

if its going to be the same program every time try dockless but AFAIK you cant remove all of them in one go
