I'm trying to run my existing website I have through MAMP, and struggling to set it up, no guides or tutorials are really explaining it well enough for me. I've bought a domain from GOdaddy, and just want to run the site locally and place the domain, doing it for a project.

My site has a db, Do I have to import it via mamp and somehow connect to their server or change the ports, because it's really frustrating to understand.

Not another one.... lol

Map is easy but you have to know how to export/import SQL.

Just take a backup of your RAW files, install MAMP and copy them over to the working web directory.

If you install teamviewer and email me the ID and pass I'll remote on to your system to go through it with you from start to finish.
