running my monitor at a higher refresh rate

if i change my refresh rate on my screen from 60 to 75 hz will this damage the screen at all? shold i notice a difference? never done this befor and not sure why i want to now lol any help appreciated

If it's a CRT then you will benefit, but id it's an LCD monitor then you won't.
