Running oc'd x6 @ 3.8 with 4 pin. will it be ok

i ordered the stealth extreme 2 becasue it said it has a '8 pin (4+4)'

but there is only a 4 pin cpu cable not 8. will the rig be ok becuase the mobo takes a 8 pin cpu cable

here is the rig

X6 2.8 @ 3.8
GB 890GPA-UD3H
5750 1GB
500GB HDD
DVD-RW
4GB DDR3

Ive tested linx, prime and ibt and it seems stable so far

guess you got either the 400 or 500w model?

Just rechecked - the lower version only have 4 pin.

You should be fine with 4 pin.

only the 600-700w model has a 4+4pin

sorry guys should have stated. yes i did get the 500w

this is what it states in the 500w description though

Connectors: 1 x Main connector (20+4Pin), 1 x 8 (4+4) Pin, 1 x 6-Pin PCI-E, 6 x Peripheral, 4 x SATA, 1 x Floppy,

i guess its lesseon learnt becuase i only bought it based on that description

Do you mean that it was incorrectly advertised? If so, return it for a full refund..

nah it ok. it running fine and binned the packgaing etc..

I had this issue when building a mate's pc, seems fine with just the 4 pin. Thing is it was actually advertised as having 2x4 pins on the BOX, let alone retailers descriptions
