Hi everyone!

had my heart set on this case and i'm trying to work out if this setup would run on the puny 90w psu that it is supplied with as there no room for a proper psu...

Asus AT3N7A-I Ion Intel Atom N330 DDR2 ITX Motherboard

Patriot Viper 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel

Antec Mini-Skeleton mITX Performance Chassis - Black/Silver (90w PSU)

2x Western Digital Scorpio Blue 320GB 5400RPM SATA-II 8MB Cache - OEM

Samsung SH-D162D/BEBE IDE DVD-ROM - Black (OEM)

ideally i would prefer the Point Of View Intel Atom D510 DDR2 ITX Motherboard + GeForce 210 Passive Graphics Card

i'm not sure that the psu could support that on its own though!

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Yes, absolutely no problems. Th atom platform doesn't use much juice at all. Shame its performance is a bit....poo.

What will you be using the system for out of interest?

Thats still 1/3rd of the total allowed load! Going to see what the HDD's and dvd drive draw. Going to be close!

EDIT:

13W CPU
30W GPU
5W HDD
6W Memory
20W DVD Drive
20W Mobo
5W Fans

99W , the only estimate in there is the mobo power, i'm guessing its more like 10W and then it would be fine :)

This is a D510 system with 2x2GB RAM and an SSD.

26W for load isn't too bad.

Add 3W for the HDD over the SSD, 6W for the DVD drive, 120mm fan - 4W, 30W for the GPU. Thats a total of 69W - at maximum load for everything.

Awesome!

Still think would have been nice if they had managed to supply something ever so slightly more than 90W psu though!

Will be getting it soon :D

If i'm honest, the main reason is looks, apart from that it has a higher power psu than the other mitx case on here. I'm a student so i wanted something thats both low power and small so i can move it around but still with the capability to be used for simple tasks too!

If it's being used as a server i'd get something like a Sugo SG05 instead.

A 300w PSU, space for a 3.5" drive meaning you could put up to 2tb onboard rather than using laptop hdd's and (if you choose a more powerful platform like AM2/3, 775 or i3/i5) space for a proper GPU if you ever want one too!

Just seems a little more flexible to me and definitely worth the extra £30-£35.

gt

P.S: I actually have both cases. The mrs uses the skeleton with an Intel Fly Creek (DG45FC) motherboard, and e3300 and 2gb of ram. It's a nice system and the case is decent built however it will fill with dust in an instant due to having no filters and being fundamentally open to the elements... it's also quite cramped too and isn't massively flexible either.
