So my sister just came in and said "were getting loads of snow this week" then she proceeded to tell me about how "we might not have any gas due to it freezing" I'm still coughing up my stomach with my cough laugh i have going on.

Well if it continues with this bad weather we will have a proper gas crisis, however it isn't due to the gas freezing.
you aren't very, erm how do i put it .... oh wait i remembered your a computer program
It's running out because everyone has their heating on. It isn't freezing![]()
Did you know that natural gas is actually put under huge pressure (500psi) in pipes buried deep, deep underground so they won't be likely to ever freeze? This is why you don't see those huge gas towers full up anymore.
8 days from when we start drawing at full capacity, yes. But there is no foreseeable reason to do so with supply being so strong from north sea, Norway the continent and LNG.Id be more worried about the fact that the UK has only around 8 days supply left tbh![]()

Bottled gas looses pressure a bit when it's cold..if you don't get the right bottles.
