My p.c has become very slow and clunky and i have no idea why.It was fine up until a couple of weeks ago, it used to run crysis superbly now very laggy and hangy.It takes ages to load dreamweaver/fireworks etc.I use end- it- all so not a massive amount of background programs running.
I built the system a couple of years ago,
intel core 2 quad Q6600 @2.40ghz
abit ip35 mobo
2gb corsair 800mhz ram
corsair hx520 520w psu
nvidia geforce 8800gt
windows xp (home) sp3
Hard drive is about a quarter full, i defragg on a regular basis. The temps are all fine. i keep the case insides dust free on a regular basis, and no internal problems are obvious.
I am at a loss as to what the problem is, any suggestions as to what i could try?
