I run raid on windows xp, when I try to install on different variants of xp, ie Xp Pro Corp and other optimized shelled out or modified versions of Xp on some versions Raid just refuses to install giving me errors messages of cannot copy file raid. I put the other copy of Xp in and it works perfectly. I just can't figure it out, has anybody else had any problems like this?

Most of the optimized and 'folding' versions of XP have all their drivers removed and loads of services either deleted or set not to start.

I have seen some of these optimized XP builds that haven't been so drastically trimmed as to be unusable on anything except a folding VM.

Still not found the problem, currently not running raid but want to get it back up and running asap but need a decent version of xp pro to do so :(

What form of RAID are you using? Hardware or Software?

If hardware what controller are you using?

How many disks are in the array?

Raid format? 0/1/5?

I'm using software, it is Raid 0 and there are 2 x 320GB WD AAKS in the raid array :)
