Hi everyone i have just got another 8800gt and was wanting to run it in sli. I have a msi p7n diamond motherboard and was wondering how i would go about setting it up? What drivers do i need etc? Thanks

No special drivers are required.

Just pop the card in and attach the SLI connector to the 2 cards.
The smaller 2 way one, you probably got a 3 way as well with your MB.

Switch on and boot windows.
You will get a message about SLI capable system, follow the prompt to enable SLI.

If you have any problem getting both cards working re install your Video drivers.
Might be worth installing the latest drivers anyway, do this with both cards installed.

ok got it to work but went to run 3d mark06 and a blue screen came up and it restarted then the blue screen and restarted until i took off the sli bridge. I know that one cards clocks are higher than the other but i thought that they would just run off the lowest card?

i think its all sorted now. Installed the drivers and went in to gpu-z and they are now showing the same speed as the lowest card. Is that right? The first card shows the clock. memory and shader speeds but the second one only the clock and memory speeds. That should be ok now yeah? the sli message came up on the bottom this time

Normally doesn't cause a problem but ideally you should flash them to the same version.
How comfortable are you with nbitor and nvflash ?

Edit
Ok you have it working now ?
Go run some benchmarks then.

Did you put the slower card in the top slot ?

There not hard to use but you really need to know what you are doing because you can screw up your cards.
I really don't recommend you to do anything drastic at this point.
If you have the blue screening sorted then there is no immediate need to use them.

tested crysis and i got 38fps which was the same as what i got with one card so i turned the clocks up and got 37fps is there something im doing wrong?
