Hi guys,

I recently put together my new machine and feel its fairly stable now so ran SP2004 for 5 minutes (never used SP2004 or Prime before) and got bored so stopped it with 0 errors, 0 warnings. I monitored CPU temps and they stayed at about 33/34c (room is 20c, its cold!).

What i wanted to know is, how long should i run it for? I want to stress my machine out to ensure its stable, just have no idea what to do as not done it before!

Heres the log:

Type: Blend - stress CPU and RAM Min: 8 Max: 4096 InPlace: No Mem: 1791 Time: 15
CPU: 2400MHz FSB: 266MHz [266MHz x 9.0 est.]

as long as your pc is not overclocked there is absoloutly no reason i can think of, to run sp2004.

i disagree. i run sp2004 for at least 12 hours on every new build to check everything is working as it should. it's not just for testing your overclock. :)

12 hours here too. Maybe 1 hour of small, 1 hour big, and then 12 hours blend at 9 priority. Can't say I would have done it before overclocking.. probably worth it though. If something's got problems you'll save yourself a lot of time in the long run.
