Running Suse 10.3 and Vista

Ok so Grub hosed my booting of Vista, I fixed it but want to have both so I am thinking Lilo...

Any other options?

Where is best to write the boot loader?

I have not played with Linux for a long time and back then it was quite happy on the MBR...

install Vista first, then install linux. Grub should be able to chain the Vista bootloader with no issues.

Generally I install grub on the mbr. I don't dual boot - but back when I did a couple of years ago (XP), I had no issues with this, although, I have also played with having grub installed on a dedicated area - which also worked fine; you should maybe try that.
