running temp. of C2D 6400

my cpu temp, is stable at 50 degrees celsius is this normal ? the cpu fan is the intel one that came boxed with the chip.

Mines the same mate, 50C idle on stock cooler

50 degrees at idle sounds a bit high

what are you using to measure the temp?

using speedfan, mine idles at 37-38 with a freezer7 pro.

be interesting to see what you get at load aswell, I tested mine using that intel thermal analysis tool

im using the asus probe to measure the temp.

My P5B Deluxe also shows high temps. There has been many reports of this... I think it's just a bug on some boards.
