Hi,
How can i run two computers (desktop pc, macbook) on the same displays (i have two monitors) & same mouse/keyboard?
Would this be with a kvm switch? I looked online - the ones that include dual monitors for two computers are like 200 quid+...seems quite a lot
On the back of my main monitor i have a spare dvi port, and on the other a spare vga, so i was thinking of getting a Mini Display Port to Dual-Link DVI Adapter, a dvi -> vga adaptor, and connecting them up like that (and just selecting the different input method via the controls on the monitor). But then the keyboard and mouse wouldn't be able to be shared.
(though i suppose i could plug them into a usb hub, then just change 1 usb wire when i switch computers)
any thoughts?
thanks
