If I bought a second WoW account, would I be able to essentially run 2 instances on my 1 machine? Its not a particularly powerful machine by todays standards - no dual core or anything, but its a lot higher spec than the system requirements. Anybody do this already?

Note: I wouldn't need to alt-tab between the two instances quickly or anything, just switch over for a few seconds every 10-15 minutes or so.

Maybe.
My old P4/6600 system would run two instances of the game better than my Quad-core/8800gtx (system in sig :/ ) does.

For some reason, when I do run the second, it runs like a dog, 5fps, must be some software/vista issues maybe.

First instances runs fine :P

Oh no not this again, last time i posted about this i got flamed for "cheating" and such :/

Anyways just use windowed mode (not maximized) and you should be ableto run a 2nd instance without errors.

I can't remember who said this in the last thread about this but it sounded so right...

You might want to take a step back and ask why you want to do it, then go out and play some football or something :p

My version isn't quite as good, maybe the original poster can come say it again...

:D

Well you did say you were healbotting on one - which was amazingly construed by many as running a bot - which is cheating. And you took about an age to set that record straight.

There were plenty of helpful replies though.

You can run two instances fine, it is likely one will have to be minimized at a time, I dont think we had anyone who had put two on the screen at once - but I cant remember for sure :)

Have a look :)
