running two windows os 7 and xp on one computer

This is a question on behalf of a friend so here goes

The two were working perfect-I could switch from one to the otherwhen I turn on the computer a screen would show"use older version of windows""windows 7 will start in 6 seconds"if I wanted 7 I would do nothing and it would start 7if I wanted xp I would click "on use older version of windows" and enter and I would have xpnow if i click on "use older version of windows" xp starts ( the logo shows)it then seems to shut down the computer and re-starts with*"use older version of windows""windows 7 will start in 6 seconds"I can only run my bot on one betfair account in 7 and its a pain*if I hold down shift and right click on the bot the submenu will show "run as different user" but it will still only allow me to run one instance of the bot--in xp you could run as many instances of the bot as you liked under different user accounts.Do you know any way around this ?.
 
So do we know how to run multiple instances of the bot in 7 or can we run dual win oses and if so what caused xp to go doolally.

The two os were on different drives in one comp as far as i know. Although perhaps they may have been partitions.
 
I think better punctuation would help make more sense of what problem your friend is having...

So basically is the XP partition not working anymore? Can you still see the XP drive/partition within 7? Can you check if XP is on the same drive as 7 but a different partition, or on a seperate drive? (Disk Management will tell you this).

And I guess it depends on the bot if it can run multiple instances with 7.
