Running win 7 on my laptop without proper drivers

I have installed windows 7 64bit pro on my laptop.

As I install it I realise that the laptop (a cheap looking Clevo M765S that I got through the University in June) has no windows 7 drivers on the website.

I have used the disk it came with it and installed windows vista 64 bit drivers.

Under device manager everything now has drivers and everything seemed to work fine without any drivers anyway as windows 7 makes most things work by itself.

Should I not install all the drivers (as everything works under win 7 already) or is forcing 64 bit vista drivers the best option?

At the moment I have just used the windows disk I have for my desktop, so the laptop is not activated. I want to do the student £30 upgrade offer provided all is ok.
Thanks

I rang the manufacturer service place who said that because the laptop was bought just before windows 7 release it is therefore not windows 7 compatible. Obviously I don't believe them (dopey girl on the phone).

Will the laptop be any slower if drivers are missing?
The laptop has crappy SiS graphics so the only game I will be ever playing is C&C:First Decade.

Thanks for the quick replies.
