Hi,

can anybody tell me if it is possible to run a Shuttle without monitor, keyboard, mouse?

I would like to use my Shuttle as a server machine via an Ethernet connection to my hub/router but without the aforementioned peripherals.

Its currently running on Win XP Pro.

Cheers,

Andy

you should be able to??? providing you dont need to control anything or see anything on the screen (unless its via ultra VNC on another computer or the likes)

Search for VNC on Google. Once that's installed on the slave PC, all you need is an IP address.

Perfectly easy to do, no need for linux (unless your wanting to run some special tasks) and you dont even need VNC.

Two things to do:
  • First, make sure that the BIOS option for "halt on xx errors" is set to ignore errors.
  • Second, setup Remote Desktop in XP (its built into XP Pro). Compared to VNC its a little lacking but its very easy to setup as an initial test (then move to VNC later).
