Rustly Cooler ?

Sorry about the miss spelling of Rusty...in the thread header

OK so I was sorting out some boxes stuff today and came across a Phanteks Cooler but not used for a while , anyway....went to take it out of its box and it snagged on the box's edge dropped on to the floor the top blade popped off and this is what I noticed

is that rust ?

To me it looks like some oxidisation has gone on, I could be wrong though.

How long have you had the cooler around about?

Scrape a little off with a knife, have you got a magnet to see if the cooler fins are steel?

Had the cooler about 2 years or more ...and as goes using a magnet ...all i have is the dust cover that came with my 750D lol...its magnetic ...and no it didnt attract the fins
