Essentially my father was a mechanic and passed away several years ago. Today I just stripped out his garage for renovations. I want to keep all the tools but the garage was leaky and moist so lots of things have accumulated rust. Ive got plenty of non-rusty spanners so ill donate the rest to a college or school but he also had a lot of stuff id like to keep. For example, every SDS drill bit known to man. SDS bits are crazy expensive so, can i just clean them? I've previously attacked rusty stuff with citrus clean and a wire brush which worked fine, but will they get blunted or just re-rust again?
