RVZ02 cooling suitable for 6600K OC?

I have just ordered a SilverStone RVZ02 and am trying to decide which processor to go with - this build is for GAMING ONLY with a GTX 980.

i5-4590
or
i5-6600K

I think that the i5-4590 will be fine and not cause GPU bottlenecks, however the temptation to have a little fun overclocking is there as always.

Question is, will I even get a decent OC out of this chip with a low-profile SilverStone AR06 cooler? If not, I'll just go for the cheaper Haswell chip.

Thanks :)

I had great success with a Thermalright AXP-100 in my RVZ01, I replaced the stock fan with a 7 volted Gentle Typhoon AP-1500.
That would easily cool a 4.5ghz overclock on a 6600k.

I'd also suggest you buy the Silverstone SX500-LG PSU.
These are quieter than the standard SFX PSU's under load and run cooler with the bigger fan.

Thanks Legion :)

SX500-LG already purchased in preparation for the build!

I've also ordered a SilverStone AR06 cooler (for only £20!), but am just unsure whether a I NEED an overclocked 6600K for 1080p gaming. Sense says spend the extra money on a GPU upgrade would be better, but heart says K-Series and overclocking FTW!

I have used Xeons (for a cheaper hyperthreaded CPU) over K parts in m-ITX builds with a limited overclock, this may now be a thing of the past though with Broadwell and Skylake Xeons and beyond.

Still, I doubt anything for at least another couple of years is going to need more than 4 cores so you are safe with an i5.
And yes you would be better off putting any savings into a better GPU.

I have no budgets for my builds, not everyone is as fortunate nor see's value in more expensive hardware.
