Hi,

I currently have Pirelli p zeros (BMW *) all round on my g87 m2. I am getting the rear tyres replaced with michelin pilot sport 4s (BMW *) But I’m not sure if this setup will course any problems? Because they will still be BMW tyres, just different brands. I don’t really want to change the fronts, because they still have 5.5mm

That will be fine. Different brands front and back is only supposedly an issue on BMW xDrive cars, and even then it seems rather overblown.

Different tread depth across axles can cause diff issues. Front to back won't make a difference at all.
The only issue would be if you were to change tyre sizes.

Thanks guys:)

This will be the first time that I have ever miss matched tyres. But I’m not keen on wasting £600-£700 unnecessarily.

I’ll let you know if I experience understeer, assuming I survive :p

Pretty obvious. Slightly worn tyres on the front of an inferior brand and brand new PS4s on the rear...

If that's the case then I'm surprised the OP hasn't died with all the oversteer from having worn tyres at the back currently then :D :D :D
