right guys so I've Ordered a Rx 480 red devil from powercolor, I managed to get this for £248. I know its not going to be a massive upgrade from my 290 Tri-x but that card Is dying slowly (fan problems) so rather than spend money on a aftermarket cooler I made the jump, now I've read some mixed reviews online especially of the Powercolor card, some say it uses cheap components on the power phase while other online Reviewers say its uses Upgraded Components on its pcb. I'm not sure who to believe here? PowerColor also stated not to use this card on Furmark while running its OC Bios of 1330mhz, could this be due to cheap parts found on the card that make it potentially dangerous while stress testing? if there is anyone out there that uses this card id love to hear what you think of it/if you've faced problems. Now I went with PowerColor mainly because of the triple fan design, I love to overclock and with a Boost Speed of already 1330mhz And a unlocked bios they released that doesn't void warranty id love to see how far I can push it! :P

but all in all, I just want to know if I made the right choice with this brand/model? (always been a sapphire guy)

Out the box or using the boosted bios is fine for gaming.
Furmark and other test programs are always a bad enemy of power regulation, whether it's cpu's motherboards or gpu's.
The problem with this card occurs when overclocking with increased power limit due to the weak power regulation and it's inability to cope with high current loads and 1.2v or higher voltage.

I've got a Powercolor 390 and I would rate it as good quality as the MSI 290X Gaming I had before it and also cooler running. The 480 should be just as good.
