hi
I have an issue with my graphics card, when I put the side panel on my case my gpu will overheat, I dont know what the issue is, I even have fans blowing directly on the gpu but to no avail.
Once the side pannel is off no issues
I was told by a mate it could be the vram, i know its not the vrm as i used hardware monitor ant the temps are quite low.
advise is appreciated

it acts strange when it over heats, the sound errors and the screen goes black but all the fans are ramped up
oh and this only happens when under load not at idle

When you say the temps are low, how low are they?

You could enable Chill in Radeon settings - this should drop power usage and temps a lot. Also ensure there isn't too much dust clogging up the fans/heatsink.

If the GPU is still getting too hot for no real reason, it could mean the card is failing and a RMA is required.

graphics card reads as max temp of 66 deg C when running pubg

Assuming that's the actual core temp, it's fine. You've alsosaid the memory is fine, though you didnt mention what temperature the ram was running at? if it's <70, i wouldnt even worry about it. So if it not those, then could it be the VRM temps? Or maybe it's not temps at all, maybe it's a driver issue or the psu

The gpu dosnt seem to have any vram temp sensors, or i may not have the software to read it, feel free to recommend any to help
I know its a gpu issue as my system never had the flaw before my current gpu

oh and the fans the top 2 pull in direct on the gpu and its fans (prodigy m has an inverted motherboard) the one exit fan does blow out

I think you need to have the top 2 fans blowing air OUT of the top. Your fans at the top of the case and the fans from the GPU seem to be blowing air against each other after googling a picture of your case. Heat rises.

EDIT: There isnt any VRM temp sensors on my Sapphire RX 480 either, i only see VRM Efficiency in GPU-Z.
