Hi All

I'm in the market for the above card for a new build. Budget is max £400 but would naturally prefer to go cheaper.

I see many brands offering a 5700 XT at a relatively wide range of prices (even within brands themselves). I am not sure how to choose a suitable card.

So I'm asking for recommendations. Assuming card length is not an issue and I don't want to go for water-cooling options but reliability is important, what's best/cheapest?

Many thanks

I always tend to look at the top 5 in terms of cheapest and look at the size of the heatsink and the size of the fans.

Price is key for me. I want value for money.

Asus rog strix is just setting fire to money.

Case cooling is far more important so long as its not a blower card. Stay away from them they run noisey and hot.

My current card wasn't the cheapest but it was only £20-£30 more than what was but it had the best coping out the whole range because the heatsink is massive and it has 2 large decent fans on it.

As good as the Sapphire and Powercolor cards are, Red Devil and Nitro respectively (the general rule of thumb is Sapphire and PC make the best AMD cards), i'd buy the Aorus now, a little bit and cheaper and another year warranty. The Aorus has made the Gaming OC redundant at the virtually the same price point, as Gray suggests.

Have you noticed any posetive aspects since the new driver was released?

When was the update? I updated a few days ago to the newer version adrenaline 20.2.2. Havent had much change to game on it since, will probably later on or tomorrow evening. Ive only ever had the odd issue with the card to be honest, rarely has crashed just can sometimes get a little noisy / occasional very mild whine for a few seconds when on top load.

I have the Aorus and am extremely pleased with it. I'd recommend it as the go to 5700XT at the mo'
