RX 590 vs 1660 - which would you get?!

Hi

Looking at a system with

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £692.55 (includes shipping: £11.70)​

The WD HDD and PSU are existing.

I now need to decide on a GPU.

Kids do a bit of gaming (Battlefield, PUBG etc) but not too much.
Will do some video editing, but probably not too much.
Reasonable amount of Photoshop.

Current options and prices:

I'm not too worried about spending a few quid extra, if it's worth it.
Not really looking at 2nd hand.

Which of the above would anyone recommend (other suggestions welcome).

Hmmm. Cat & pigeons.

Much lower spec than I've been looking at. And 'kids' range from age 14 up to 21, so they may want something more sooner rather than later!!

Think I'm happy to chuck a bit more at it at this stage, rather than wish I had in a few months' time. But thanks for the reality check of what I probably need!!

Is there much to choose between the different manufacturers? Warranties? Returns? Features etc?

One fan or two? Reliability? Noise?

And what about the OC cards? Eg, looking at some of the current choices on OCUK:

For an extra £10 (which I'll have forgotten about in 5 mins) the Zotac is twin fan. Same price for the Asus, also twin fan, but OC version with Boost Clock at 1860 MHz (as opposed to 1785 MHz). Gigabyte is back to one fan, but also OC at 1800 MHz and the Palit OC version is £19 more than the standard.

Does the OC rating make a difference, or does it just mean they come out of the box with a mild(?) OC and the non OC versions are just as capable of being clocked to the same amount as the OC ones?

My completely uneducated instinct is to go for the twin fan, OC Asus, but very happy to be corrected!

Also, will the outputs always be the same for an RX 590 or a 1660 Super, regardless of what brand it is, or do they vary?

Long time since I last built anything, quick question:

The card has an 8 pin power socket. The lead I have is 6 pin at the PSU and 6+2 at the GPU. Is that OK? Does it need all 8 pins plugged in?

There was an 8 pin lead from the PSU, but I've assumed that's for the MOBO.
