Rx 6800 good enough?

750£ quid for a card that should cost £510

thats is absolutely ridiculous.:eek::eek::eek:

Thats 47% price increase over a vanilla RRP 6800.

you have to be bloody nuts to buy this.

Mate @Rumble11 wait for an FE drop and pick up a 3070 or even 3060Ti and get 99% performance of 6800 with 400£-500£ extra in your pocket.

I know, I'm out of other options and this is what I'm left with lol. I'm only considering it though, gonna be holding off on anything that expensive for the time being. Can always just hang with my 580 for now.

Since when has a 6800 ever been £510? Lol

Get yourself on the Discord channel, wait for the FE drops.

Aim for 3080 / 3070 / 3060Ti you can go wrong.

£650 / £450 / £370 best bang for you buck right now, no scalping, no profit scraping by 3rd parties companies.

6800 at reference price is quite literally the best bang for the buck.

OUT OF STOCK AMD website. Learn the RRP prices first bud
.:o

Are you just quoting the US Price? Because the UK Amd site just provides links for 3rd party websites. The price you are quoting will have vat and import tax on top. The actual UK RRP had never been £509. Not once anywhere.

Got a Powercolor RX 6800 (in the last MBA card drop) - yes its over rrp, but not the £700+ ones (and certainly not the £999 RTX 3080). Drivers are perfectly fine in the few games i`ve played - games play smoother (for me) than the RTX 2080 i went from, likely better minimums , as i vsync to my 4k . Very happy with it

So its either wait for ages to scramble for a drop and hope to god I'm quick enough to get something.

Or get a 6800 by selling a kidney. Or just cry at the state of the market.

Yep pretty much :D

What model RX 580 you got? They are going for good money on ebay especially if you have an 8GB model.

I think its a ASRock phantom gaming 580. I think. Was ages ago when I got my pre-build and I've tried going through my order history but can't find it. The cards come in very handy during these times though.

Yes its an 8gb model

The RX 6800 is enough for everything apart from 4K IMO. Even at high Ultrawide resolutions it's still decent beating the 2080TI. Don't forget FidelityFX Super Resolution is coming. It's also a much better investment than a gimped VRAM 3070.

Don't listen to @Dontrocktheboat. You'll never be able to pick up a 6800 for £510 let alone a decent AIB one and a 6800 blows the socks off a 3060Ti.

Since i have an RX 6800 - i will disagree about it not enough for 4k, it is plenty fine
