RX 6900 PSU connection

I have a Sapphire Radeon RX 6800 Nitro+ and Seasonic Focus 850w gold PSU. The GPU is currently connected via a single cable to the PSU. Everything is working fine, however I have been reading that many people connect with two cables. Is it best for me to add another cable?

The recommendation to use 2 cables rather than one comes from the power limit on a single cable, can't remember off the top of my head but I believe it's 150w per cable. I'd use 2 cables if it were me.

Yeah 2 seperate cables is best.

Rule 101:

never daisy chain a high powered GFX card with PCIEX 12v

Thank you all! I have run a second cable from the PSU to the GPU, it's now 8 pins per cable.
