I would be interested if you are the original owner, able to help with warranty and willing to sell at a sane price. I would be buying it to game on, not resell btw, at least you know you won't get messed around by me if you look at my feedbackI've never sold anything outside of MM and I don't really want to get stung on Ebay. Anyone sold one of these current cards on Gumtree? A nice simple cash sale would suit me.

Good luckIt came in a pre built pc I just bought for my girlfriend. But unfortunately I am hoping to get some decent money for it to help fund a gtx 1070 . It's brand new but can't really get into these discussions here. Ill see what happens a on Gumtree.![]()
Good luck![]()
Had bad luck already, looks like ill be RMAing it. The system freezes with a grey screen in games. Seems a very common thing with RX480s from Google. meh!
Try to look at it from the positive side, better it happened now than straight after selling it. Imagine all the hassle.Had bad luck already, looks like ill be RMAing it. The system freezes with a grey screen in games. Seems a very common thing with RX480s from Google. meh!
Indeed, fingers crossedAtleast you'll be able to get more if they replace it with a brand new sealed 580.![]()
I read somewhere that when they are sold on eventually, these mining cards won't be in that bad condition due to the fans always being run at a constant RPM, which is apparently better than ramping them up and down. Is there any truth to this?
Some. It's not really the fan speed that matters, but the board being run at a constant temperature. That cuts down on thermal cycles putting stress on the PCB. On the other hand, constantly running hot can quickly reduce the life of the capacitors on the board if they're not top quality.I read somewhere that when they are sold on eventually, these mining cards won't be in that bad condition due to the fans always being run at a constant RPM, which is apparently better than ramping them up and down. So essentially, when these miners start cashing out there might be a lot of cheap 480/580's and 1070's on ebay? (Due to there being a lot of cards available)
Sounds good if this does happen.
And I regularly see the phrase 'bubble burst' mentioned, has anyone established what price etherum would have to drop to for this crash to happen? I saw it has gone up and down in value greatly in the past week.
