Hi all please spare me some of your time and help me find out why I can't get my system running.

My system is stable with my old card, very low speck Nvidia card.
When I remove all drivers and boot with my 580 it will run fine on windows basic drivers but goes to a black screen on driver install. Tried using latest drivers from windows uodates and downloaded from AMD website.

I have the latest bios for my motherboard and tried to do a clean install of windows with the same result on driver install.

Ran 4 hours of memtest no issues.

Specs Z77 mobo.
I7 ivy bridge cpu.
1200w PSU.

I had exactly the same problem with my amd HD 6870 card. Its a faulty card I presume its still under warranty so contact the manufacturer and ask them to issue an rma

Thank you Caps lock for the only reply.
I have sorted it now. It turns out it was the HDMI cable it didn't like. Connected via DVI and all good.
Looking forward to some sweet looking gaming again
