Ryse cut scenes black screen

Im trying to play ryse but when the cut scenes run i cannot see them, just a black screen, i can hear them just can see them, everything else just plays fine.

I tried installing video codecs to no avail, anyone have any ideas?

It runs fine just cant see the cut scenes, its just a black screen

any ideas on how to fix it, i mean its only a video

No its cut video for sure and all drivers are up to date, cpu is like x4 amd (pretty old but runs fallout 4 fine) gpu is a 390, it all runs fine apart from the cut scenes, u can hear the nps's but no video, it just goes black, can wait then play it fine after the cut scenes have finished

I dunno i thought it was just video, will try again on lowest setting

im still pretty sure its pre rended video

I just want the cut scenes to work, and i can watch them
