Hey guys,

after some reading im going to OC my 1700..a few quick questions (not like me is it :D)..

What will be a good starting point for OCing? My current voltage is maxing out at 1.368v..

Will that voltage be high enough to push it to 3.8Ghz on all cores?

What temps am I likely to peak at on the stock Wraith Spire cooler? Currently my CPU is maxing out at 58-60 Celsius at 1.368v..

I would try 3.8 with this voltage. If stable, try to go down with V. On this cooler 3.8 is max imo and I wouldn't raise any voltage. But you'll see the temps when you start playing.

Big problem, tried this mate...soon as it rebooted it bsod on me, now I can't even post / no signal from monitor?

Just reset cmos, if that doesn't help switch it all off and take out battery , it might happen during OC:rolleyes:

I would start with a lower overclock to make sure cooler is seated properly. My 3.675ghz over clock runs at max 1.2v with max temps in low 50c using the wraith spire cooler. Once you go much beyond that voltages and temps rise rapidly, so do it in small steps after that.

I accidentally booted mine at 4.0ghz and luckily noticed shutting it down quickly
