Worth the upgrade? Sell my 6-month old 1700 (running at 3.8) for a 1800x?

We are far too near to the next version to make it worthwhile going from a 1700 to an 1800x now.

Useless upgrade.

At 3.8Ghz your basically at the same performance of the 1800x anyway.

At best the 1800x might overclock to 4Ghz.

Hardly worth it.

Unless your selling your 1700 for what you paid for it there is nothing to be gained by upgrading to a 1800x.

1800X is just a better binned 1700 so the only advantage you may see is max stable overclock. Absolutely not worth it.
