Hi ive got a ryzen 5 2600 and been testing overclocks and seen that they easily overclock to 4.1-4.2 with decent cooling, I have mine cooling with a kraken x62 and cant get it stable past 3.95ghz and I have to give it a lot of voltage which in turn creates too much heat im on a aorus x470 gaming ultra not the best board I know, but it was the same on my old b350 board. also ram is just set to xmp profile of 2666mhz have just lost the silicon lottery and got a dud chip? also I only game and web browse so overclocking I wont see much benefit? also this board doesn't have precision boost over drive im on latest bios. Thanks

Would have thought you'd get more benefit out of better ram speeds? Can you push that any more?

From what I've seen AMD seem to get as much as possible out of as many as possible of their chips. Even the golden ones only seem to get a few extra hundred mhz, not like the massive range from Intel.

Thanks for reply yes I can get my ram stable at 3000mhz at 1.37v using the stock timings I haven't tried altering the timings as im fairly new to overclocking lol
