Will OCUK be selling any bundles for the 2700X on launch day?
By bundle I mean Mobo (X470) and 16/32GB RAM (3200Mhz or above).

Be nice to get even a small saving if buying the whole shooting match.

On another site they got a bundle with the 2700x, AIO Cooler, Corsair 16gb 3200 but with a ASUS CH6!
Overpriced by a lot though if you compare with the cheapest individual component prices currently available.

For sure I am doing a couple of bundles when I have enough retail 470 boards to try and be totally confident all OC and memory OC is repeatable.

I won't do bundles for 2xxx cpu on older boards.

Have you seen a significant disadvantage on the older boards?

If you @Gibbo it'll flag in his notifications.

Don’t expect a reply tho, I’ve tried a few times recently before I bought the asus maximus x hero. It was in regards the way I was treated the last time I bought a motherboard from here, was asking if they’d trained their cs people better but I got stone cold silence.

I just hope the experience I had when buying(or at least preordering) the 290x is more representative of their cs and not what happened with the motherboard RMA(the whole sordid tale is still up on these forums).

Ah I don't mean like a overclocked bundle. (I'm hearing its not even worth overclocking 2700x anyway) just a retail bundle. Ram, mob and cpu, for a slightly better price than the sum of the components.

I do have to say, ocuk don't seem too competitive price wise recently if truth be told.
A simple Google of 2700x would show that.

But on the other hand the price they sold the 1st batch of the Asus X470 prime for £20+ cheaper than anyone else, also a lot of the graphics card prices are cheaper or very competitive. I all ways look at 4+ different retailers when pricing builds and total basket price taking into account the free delivery then overclockers is normally cheapest or very close to the cheapest. Some time you do get 1 retailer with an outstanding price on 1 item and it is worth buying this separately.

Any way back on topic. Yes can we please have some bundles with some 8pack ram at the right speeds to get the most out of the Mobo and CPU.

I would be interested in 1 of the following.

Asus X470 Prime-Pro with an 2600X and 16 Gigs 8 pack memory.

or

Asrock X470 Taichi with an 2700x and 16 Gigs 8pack memory.

What I want is for the memory to be able to be run at 3466mhz at cas 16 on tight timings as this seems to be the best they can get out of the chips currently.

I hope not as I've been running 3466 C15 on a 1700 for months...

Well X370s should have more mature bios. Not many reviews of memory scaling yet but
at the 18 min mark show that for computerbase 3466 with tight timings was the best for them. Also you may have got lucky with the IMC on your 1700.

But this is the reason I did not preorder as I want to see how the bios's mature and pick the right memory so I maximise the performance.
