Hi folks
I sold up all my gaming gear back at Christmas due to needing the cash but I've been reading up about the new Ryzen 3 CPU's and I'm finding myself tempted by a budget build around a Ryzen 3 1200. I'm looking at a mATX or ITX build using a mix of new, refurb and second hand bits to keep costs as low as possible.
My main issues are:
1) I play mostly stuff like Euro Truck Sim 2 (with mods), Elite Dangerous, Borderlands 2, Farming Simulator, Skyrim, Fallout 3 & 4, Doom, FarCry 3/4 etc. I havn't found many reviews or benchmarks with Ryzen 3 running these games but I'm guessing with some OCing it should be ok? (never OC'd before so that'll be new).
2) GPU wise I was thinking something like a GTX 970 or RX 480 or will I be getting a serious bottleneck here? I had read that the 1060 was probably the maximum to pair with a 1200 so was thinking the 970 would work being a generation older?
Anyone shed any light on the issues above?
