Hello all,

With the Ryzen 3000 launch, I've been wondering how the new processors perform with SMT off as they have shown some gains in gaming with previous generations.

Gamers Nexus tested it with 3900x and just watched a video on R5 3600 also showing some nice gains going from 67 fps to 80 fps average in assassins creed odyssey.

I'm curious if anyone here has tested this with their CPUs? What are your findings?

Good morning,

Yes, the gains shown in the video^^^ are quite substantial. But the 6-core R5 3600 gets over 90-95% load which is the borderline for stutteting to appear next because of some additional background processes.
I think the software must automatically detect which mode (SMT on or off) is best for performance / optimal and apply it without the user interaction.
