Just wondering what other people's experiences of using **** & Quiet have been as I'm seeing some slightly unexpected results.
I'm running an all core manual 4.2GHz overclock at 1.37V VCore. With Cool & Quiet disabled, the individual core voltages sit at around 1.1V idle and 1.075 under load which I'd expect, but for some reason if I enable Cool & Quiet, the VIDs for the cores idle at around 1.4V and drop to 1.35 under load - which is essentially the opposite of the result I would have expected for a feature designed to keep temperatures down.
Has anyone else seen this happening? Am I completely misunderstanding how Cool & Quiet is supposed to work? Because I cannot see any advantage in having the VID for individual cores so high.
Any info greatly appreciated.
