hi, not really happy with my temps on 3900x under prime 95 load temps reaching 94c ,CPU is at 4.3ghz @ 1.312v under full load. my current water cooling setup is massive overkill but temps are so high.
setup is xspc rx480 + xspc rx360 phanteks glacier c360a and D5 pump on level 4.
whats strange is the water temps do not seem to be changing and the air coming from the rads is cold, i have tried to re-seat the block multiple times with no change.
custom water cooling users please post your over-clocks, voltage and temps so i can compare

pump seems to be fine, only had the system up and running for a few days and when i filled the loop water was moving super fast. also you can see the water movement in the res . if the pump wasn't working the tubing would get super hot around the cpu block area but its really cool.

What are you using to monitor CPU temps?

tried all sorts core temp, HWinfo , msi dragon all seem to be showing the same temps. its like the water block just isn't removing the heat from the cpu into the water. surely the glacier c360a cpu block can't be that bad. i have run other stability test like AIDA64 with max temps around the 75c range after 2 hours maybe its just a prime 95 issue with this cpu as my 8 core intel would never get that hot in prime.

When you have re-seated the cpu block was there decent spread of the thermal paste? The fact that you say your watercooling components aren't getting warmer suggests that the block isn't making decent contact with the cpu.

Re- mounted a couple of times looked good, no air in the block its completely clear.
I am running a 24/7 all core overclock and seems like only prime 95 is a problem, games, encoding and other stress software are giving reasonable temps.

hi,overclocked with no offset and fixed 43 cpu ratio, prime 95 smallest FFTs max power/heat setting. using flat voltage 1.325v under load with LLC 1.312v

Ok, i will give that a try when i get home from work. I know i have a lot of radiator real estate but surely i should at least feel some kind of increase in air temperature or even putting my hand on the dual bay reservoir its cold. When i was leak testing with no fans and no power to pc i could literally feel the heat in the loop just from the pump.

Asus realbench stress test , for 1 hour maximum temp 72c , think its just a prime 95 thing cinebench 70c after multiple runs back to back.
Prime 95 version v29.8 build 6
