hi guys im debating which one to go for as theres £50 difference.

which one do you guys say so ?

also on ram should i go for team group 3000mhz 16gb or dark pro edition 3200mhz 16gb ?

1600 hands down. I am running a 1600 on stock cooler. Does the job nicely. Down the road add an aftermarket cooler for overclocking head room.

3200 if it is cheap enough. Failing that the 3000 kit. Also check compatibility with chosen mobo.

ive brough the rog strix b350 f gaming board, evga 500w psu and coolmaster masterliquid 240 lite cooler already just need cpu, ram and graph card now

Go for the 8 pack to save yourselves a head ache,I think it was on sale recently.
1600 i great value atm.

You can generally overclock the 1600 to within 1-200Mhz of a 1600X and at that point RAM speed will generally give much bigger performance gains.

just out of reason why is everyone picking the 1600 over the 1600x

Because they are the same chip, the X version 'might' overclock slightly higher because of apparently better binning, what people have found is where that is true its usually 4Ghz for the X vs 3.9Ghz for the none X.

Out of the box the X branded chips are faster. But mostly they are for people who probably won't overclock and just want the fastest version available. They also don't come with a heatsink and the stock cooler that comes with the R5 1600 is actually pretty good for what it is.

If you're planning on overclocking then don't bother with an X chip

8400 when back to £190

Ryzen is outdone by this chip including the cost of a z370

Wait, why? its £40 more expensive and locked and as far as i can tell just paper launched, there is never any stock and the Z370 Motherboard is a dead end board, it will die when the chip goes EOL, as always with Intel.

It also isn't any faster that the 1600 overclocked in games while the 1600 is a lot faster in anything else.

They are also not going to be "back at £190" ~£220 is its price.

If you're that keen on them why are you still running an ancient Haswell?

guys please, my question has purely being asked about the ryzen, i have always stuck with amd and have brought board and cooler ready for new amd.
why i appreciate everyones view, there is no need to get out of hand

Was just offering an alternative :)

I'm not looking for an argument here, humbug is.

No you didn't ^^^^ you came in here pretty bullish saying to forget about Ryzen and just get the 8400, if you're going to do something like that then yes, actually you do need to explain yourself.

As i said better 0.1% lows.

Only at 720P and not by much overall, no one games at 720P and at 1080P or higher they are much the same, other than one game that is...
