Ryzen 5 1600 showing 2.0V+ core voltage.

So complete noob here just finished building my new AMD setup coming from Mac.

Setup:

Asrock x370 Professional Gaming (MB)
2x8 GB G.Skill FlareX @ 3200Mhz (DDR4 RAM)
AMD Ryzen 1600 (stock with stock cooler)(CPU)
Zotac 1080 Ti AMP Extreme stock (GPU)
Samsung 960 EVO M.2 (SSD M.2)

Currently running everything stock and just installed my OS.

Downloaded CPU-Z to check my CPU and it's showing a Core Voltage ranging from 0.7V upwards to 2.3V.

Also, the core speed ranges anywhere from 1549 Mhz to 3399 Mhz.

What have I done wrong?

And how can I test my system?

Yes, I have flashed my bios to the latest stable version and I'm running CPU-Z Version 1.79.0 x64.

I would like to look into overclocking but wanna make sure everything is running stable stock first.

Try setting voltages manually. My X58 board set i7 950 to 1.45v instead of the stock 0.800V-1.375V

In the BIOS max voltage is set to 1.25V (was the default option) I haven't changed it yet but I have now manually set it to 1.25 and it's still indicating well over 2V on CPU-Z.

I had this once on my crosshair. 2.04v reported in cpuz. Hwinfo had it at 1.37 and the temps were as they are normally. I rebooted and it read it correctly.
Rest assured if it was 2v that CPU would be dead.

Thanks, a lot sir. Just downloaded hwinfo and it's showing the voltage stable at 1.25V, must be CPU-Z misreading.

CPU-Z does this on my ASrock B350 board, but not on the Asus Prime Plus, nothing to panic about.
