1600's are going for 60-70 second hand. Crazy to spend £100 on a new one!
Depends what board your using? If you using less than a 400 series board then you will need a 1st gen cpu unless the board is used then might be a chance the seller updated the bios, either of the 1st gen are still good to buy, just have to try pay what you feel unless it’s the 1200 then £52 new is a no brainier ha

Well I find with my 3700, at first not much in a game like Cities Skylines, but now it's about 10fps faster and loads much quicker.
1600 to 3700x, now 2600 though.

Yes they made some big improvements in latency which really boosted gaming performance.So the extra few £££'s is worth it in this case
