Hi guys, I know there have been a ton of threads on CPU temps, but I just wanted to know if what I've currently got is OK.
Basically I've built a new system (my very first Ryzen) that consists of:
Gigabyte B450 I Aorus Pro Wifi Motherboard (ITX)
Ryzen 5 3600X Process
Noctua NH-L9a-AM4 CPU Cooler
16GB DDR4 Ram
1TB NVme drive
1 TB 2.5" SSD
All of this is in a small Fractal design Core 500 mini desktop case.
The core 500 only came with a single 140mm cooling fan at the back (exhausting), and I've added a corsair 140mm fan sitting right over the CPU pulling air into the case. I'm running the CPU stock at the moment.
Using Core temp and AMD Ryzen master software (though not a the same time), shows after about 5 minutes of booting and everything loaded and settled down, my idle temps are reported at approx. 42-44°C
Does this sound about right ? I know the case is small, but on my other system I built earlier in the year (mini tower Intel Core I7 9700K with a Noctua cooler), it only runs at idle at around 30-32°C, but I heard these Ryzen's run hotter ?
Does everything look OK. This won't be a gaming PC (don't even own one), just a desktop for general office duties, internet browsing and the occasional Photoshop etc.
