Evening,
I upgraded my system with a Ryzen 5 7600x, Gigabyte B750m Gaming x ax mobo & Corsair 6000mhz ram.
I’m having cpu temps up to the low 90’s (peak 91.6c running cinebench).
I see people saying that its a hot chip but surley not that hot with my aio?
I’m using a ‘ThermalRight Aqua elite 360 v3. I have reapplied the thermal paste 3 times now with no difference.
Temps in the bios are around 26c- 30c and Windows idle temp is around 36c.
The thing that it making me question the temps is that even the slightest load on the cpu and temps will shoot right up to around 60c - 80c.
The aio seems to be working fine, I can feel the flow of coolant though the tubing and it increasing/ decreasing based of cpu temp.
I’m currently trying n the middle of running AMD Curve Optimizer as I have read that I can help by lowering the voltage, hopefully it will help.
Anyone got any answers on why it might be running so hot or is it truly such a hot chip that not even a 360mm aio can keep the temps in check?
Cheers
Edit 1 - so I have just finished the AMD Curve Optimizer and the peek temps have dropped to 76.6c on cinebench with idle around 34c.
That’s a big improvement compared to the 91c load and 36c idle.
