This is worrying to read. I was considering a Ryzen 5900x or 5950x, but can't find one in stock. Now that there are stability issues, I'm glad I'm waiting for Rocket/Alder Lake.
Hope you get your issues sorted. I know how frustrating it is to pay good money for new hardware, only to have crashes/issues to deal with. I had many issues with my Radeon VII and Vega64 that I spent too many hours on fixing (reverting drivers, reinstalling windows, changing cables, power cables form PSU), all of which were completely resolved with my MSI 3080 Gaming X.
Intel/Nvidia = stability IMO. After a hard day's work, last thing I personally want to be doing is troubleshooting some random crash/flicker/annoying issue.
GPU issues? if GPU is not stable it can freeze and cause crashes...are you able to log GPU load and clock speed with GPUz during games and idling to see if there are any problems.
also log it with HWinfo to see if CPU usage spikes somewhere.
Doubt it's a GPU issue, i've just popped away from my PC & come back to find it at the login screen. It was just sat on the desktop with nothing running, checked error reports & sure enough WHEA 18 again.
Event viewer showing any event 18/19 errors around the kernel power event 41?.
update bios and monitor the CPU voltage in HWinfo. also have a look at your C-state in bios setting etc.
What's the board?

WHEA 18 usually means the CPU isn't get enough voltage, could be down to MB or maybe just a duff CPU.
Workarounds would be updating the bios, adding a bit more vcore offset +0.02~3 or RMA the CPU if it's still behaving the same in a month or 2 after trying all the new bios.
Don't talk trash, you weren't going to buy AMD - and Jesus if there were widespread issue it would be all over Reddit/other tech forums
Oh Dave feeling lonely are we you really do talk tripe mate stop trolling you've done nothing but trash amd not only does it make you look silly it's also boring mate just go on your pc and enjoy it mateThis is worrying to read. If you have a flashback feature on the board then you can recover a bricked bios although bios bricking is very rare on today's boards, besides if it is an issue with the bios you don't want to keep having these reboots all the time. Not sure i'm happy doing a BIOS update on this thing, the whole system is 10 days old, i don't want it bricking a brand new board.

Also by ruling out the bios it could potentially be a hardware problem so trying to get to the bottom of it before your 14day return window is up will mean a swifter turn around on any RMA.
