So I've had my Ryzen 7 CPU since launch and had it overclocked (albeit with various inconveniences like cool booting taking multiple attempts) but ever since updating to the latest bios (1403) I've been having stability issues while playing games (namely PUBG)

Currently my CPU is running at 3.7ghz @ 1.4v via offset (In windows it shows as 1.35v dropping to 1.33v during load) I'm using LLC level 1 too.
I've been using Realbench to test stability so far and 3.7ghz seems to be as high as I can go without any issues. If I bump it to 3.8ghz, I can't get through a single run of Realbench without a freeze of BSoD, even with the voltage bumped up to 1.42v (in windows)
Fair enough. I'm not too fussed. So I didn't win the silicon lottery... whats new.

Anyway, at 3.7Ghz, it "seems" stable, although when playing PUBG, in pretty much every game, it will crash to desktop saying "PUBG has encountered an error blah blah, Send report"
Now I though it might be a RAM issue. Im using Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000mhz. It's set to 2933mhz with everything else on auto.
I did an 8 hour run of memtest86 last night and it reported 0 errors. So the memory is fine it seems...

So whats going on? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds like you have the same ch6 board as me. I have everything on auto and the multiplier at 36.75 to give 3.675Ghz as it runs at a max 1.2v for my 1700. My 3200 lpx ram is at 2933. It is completely stable running 1403 bios. I use the max power profile in windows.

Try resetting your ch6 to defaults and see if it is stable then.

Oh yeah I've done all that, reset to defaults and tested, and it is indeed stable. I currently have it at 3.7ghz @ 1.4v (1.35v in windows) tried SOC voltage at 1.2v and DRAM at 1.4v and I managed to get a couple of hours of PUBG in earlier without a single crash. I'll test it further later when a few friends are online and do some squad games.

I've had the same issue with a msi mortar. Running latest official 1.5 bios. Will try betas when I have a chance and see if it fixes it.

I'm able to adjust vcore and clock in command centre. Just as a proof that it can work.

Highly likely to be a RAM stability or Other issue, I suggest you have a read of the 1700 overclocking thread in the CPU section.
