Hi,

Any suggestions for a Mini ITX MB for my Ryzen 7 1700 ? Just looking to build something up small and cheap to play around with Linux or maybe set up a home NAS.

I don't think you'll get anything new that supports a 1700 (the a520 won't). B450 boards will support it, but from memory there wasn't a ton of itx options.

Might be worth posting in the wanted section on the members market - should at least get something that isn't a paperweight.

With B350 and B450 boards youll need an older bios as i think they dropped support for older cpus when they added support for the 5000 series cpus

Find a cheap micro ATX board that comes with flashback and downgrade the BIOS to an older version.

Mini ITX (or just ITX) is expensive and a lot of small chassis will still fit a micro ATX board.
